Built East Pavilion, Belfast.
Belfast based architects OGU in conjunction with Donald McCrory Architects & Queens University Belfast commissioned me to document the build process of the ‘Built:East’ pavilion. The Pavilion won a design competition, run by the RSUA & was constructed during early summer 2019, using innovative offsite construction techniques alongside a firm grasp of East Belfast’s industrial heritage, with a version of the Belfast Truss being incorporated into the roof design.
I visited all of the factories to see the materials in their raw form & the people that worked wonders, far from the finished site.

The finished pavilion is a beautiful addition to the East Belfast streetscape & the images below have been published in the RIBA journal, Architects journal & was featured on the front page of perspective magazine.

The images will form part of a physical exhibition in the pavilion itself, in the coming months.
